Vast possibilities of contemporary Dentistry
Contemporary dentistry is modern technology, which is why its effectiveness is incomparably higher than even 10 years ago. At the Dental White Advanced Dentistry Center, we deal with the holistic rehabilitation of the patient. The basic element of treatment is the elimination of caries. For this purpose, we use highly aesthetic materials for the anterior segment, and for posterior teeth, composites with greater abrasion resistance. In the case of root canal treatment we always use a microscope and a rubber dam. We use high quality tools and materials. Then, bearing in mind the entire stomatognathic system (including teeth, temporomandibular joints, chewing muscles), we plan to rebuild the lost teeth in the correct occlusion in correlation with the temporomandibular joints (TMJ). At DentalWhite we provide:
The basic element of teeth treatment is the elimination of caries foci. It may be the so-called primary caries, which occurs in a previously untreated tooth, or secondary caries – in a tooth with a filling already present. On the other hand, atypical caries is a cavity in a root canal treated tooth (non vital). For filling cavities after caries removal, we use highly aesthetic materials for the anterior segment, and for posterior teeth, composites with greater abrasion resistance.
Do you want to get rid of tooth decay once and for all? It’s easy. Treat all cavities, carefully care for oral hygiene in accordance with the recommendations of the hygienist. Go for dental checkups every 6 months. All cavities detected in the initial phase are much easier to treat.
Root canal treatment (or endodontic treatment) is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed. It can occur as a result of deep caries, mechanical trauma, thermal trauma and many other factors. When deciding on root canal treatment, we strive to leave a tooth in the mouth. A properly treated tooth will perform the same chewing function as a healthy tooth. Modern methods of endodontic treatment allow for precise cleaning and then filling the canal in the root or roots of the tooth.
Are you afraid of root canal treatment? Have you heard the scary stories of friends who have been through this? Remember, technology is moving forward, our goal is to provide the patient with maximum comfort. In addition to anesthesia and a comfortable pillow under the head, we always use a rubber dam – a protective rubber thanks to which the liquids disinfecting the canal do not come into contact with the oral mucosa. In addition, each root canal treatment is performed under a microscope, thanks to which we can achieve the highest precision.
Periodontitis. This is the popular name of a very large group of diseases related to the tissues surrounding the tooth. These tissues are primarily bone, gums, and mucosa. The tooth is placed in the bone on a suspension device called the periodontal ligaments. This means that it is not permanently integrated with the bone, but attached to it by means of microscopic elastic fibers arranged irregularly in different directions. The border between the tooth and the gum is a place that is particularly prone to inflammation due to the difficult access for hygienic procedures.
Dental implants are a product that allows you to rebuild lost teeth in the most physiological way. The lost tooth should be replaced as soon as possible because its absence has a negative impact on all remaining teeth, especially those closest to the missing one(s). Dental implant is an element that replaces the tooth’s root. When it fuses with the bone, we can attach a crown to it. If more than one tooth is missing, we introduce several implants and reconstruct the lost crowns.
How to take care for dental implants? Since they replace your own teeth in the most physiological and structure-like way, you should take care of them as if you were your own teeth. Of course, we will not find caries in the crown on the implant. The most important in this case is the gum and bone surrounding the implant itself. They determine the good functioning of the “new tooth”.
Prosthetics is a very wide field dealing with the reconstruction of lost teeth. The prosthodontis plans a comprehensive treatment of occlusal disorders and the spatial structure of the tooth crowns. The prosthetist cooperates with doctors of all specialties. A surgeon, orthodontist, endodontist, implantologist all prepare the foundation for building a solid prosthetic work. The reconstructed crowns of the teeth must have a stable support and the correct spatial arrangement.
Veneer or crown? What is the difference. Well, the crown replaces the entire missing part of the tooth that we can see above the gum (in the mouth). The veneer covers the tooth whose aesthetics we want to improve. It is a thin porcelain husk, thanks to which we can recreate a beautiful smile with little invasiveness. In this case, both the shape and color of the teeth can be created freely.
Permanent or removable braces? Or maybe aligners? Orthodontics is also developing very quickly. Beautiful and straight teeth are everyone’s dream. By using an orthodontic appliance, you can change the position and alignment of the teeth in relation to each other. Straight teeth mean much easier hygiene, and thus less cavities. Currently, thanks to Invisalign aligners, you can straighten your teeth without using a permanent appliance.
Remember about meticulous oral hygine during orthodontic treatment. Fixed braces have a lot of nooks and crannies, and the leftover food remains quickly lead to tooth decay. We recommend our patients to check their hygiene every 3 months while wearing the braces. It is much easier when wearing aligners. You can take them off at any time and carefully wash and floss your teeth.
Teeth cleaning is not only about aesthetics, but mainly about health. A lot of bacteria accumulate in tartar and attack our teeth and gums. It is because of bacteria and inflammation that the gums bleed when touched and when brushing. The scaler removes the tartar that is firmly attached to the tooth surface. However, deposits build up on uneven tooth surfaces. This is especially true of smokers, heavy drinkers of coffee, tea or red wine. Such deposits are removed during the sandblasting process. At DentalWhite we use very fine sand, thanks to which the tooth surface is not scratched and new deposits do not accumulate so quickly.
Teeth whitening is an oxidation treatment. If we want brighter teeth without grinding them and covering them with veneers, we decide to bleach. The whitening material works on the teeth for a specific period of time and is applied in a dentist’s office or at home on an individually prepared splint. Instruction is the most important during whitening. The patient must follow a “white diet” and avoid highly colored foods. The whitening effect depends on the individual characteristics of each patient’s enamel and the number of whitening sessions performed
